Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills or stains) in one time without the need to change devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its modest price, and it's among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops spin at fast speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. automated vacuum cleaner has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you can opt for the robot to clean up the living and kitchen areas but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only drawback is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance tasks need to be done including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is well laid out and is easy to comprehend however we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the newest version. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean the objects without a pause.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank self-empties and the bin auto-filling.
The only downside I've discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is a pity considering the performance of this model.
3. auto vacuum cleaner and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top options available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry mess. It comes with a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without the need for a pad. Additionally the X40 is very quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another noteworthy feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which lets it get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that helps the X40 to avoid damaging floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has a number of features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.
The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a good method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There are plenty of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. They can be set through the app or there are buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options to customize the cleaning process, and there are numerous features that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
